Michael Anthony "Tony" Prosser
Michael Anthony Prosser, better known as "Tony,", succumbed to ALS and FTD on June 5, 2010 at age 67. Tony was born in Pavo, Georgia on June 26, 1942 to Manuel and Myrtle Prosser, but grew up in Tallahassee, Fl. He attended Florida State University for 2 years, and was in the ROTC. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1962 and was chosen to go into the 4080 th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing, which was stationed in Del Rio, Texas. The 4080th transferred to Davis-Monthan AFB in 1963. Tony was discharged from the Air Force after 4 years and 9 months. Then he was a Deputy Sheriff for Pima County for approximately 2 years. Tony left the Sheriff's Dept. to join the Arizona Air National Guard 162nd in Tucson and retired at the age of 55 as Senior Master Sgt. Tony is survived by his wife of 48 years Teresa; daughter Alisa; son Frank; grandchildren Marissa, Kayla, and Kody; brothers Randall and Dan of Tallahassee, FL; and nephews Nathan, Matthew, Jacob, and Turner of Tallahassee. Visitation will be Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 6:00- 8:00 PM MST at Adair Funeral Homes Avalon Chapel (952-742-7901), 8090 N. Northern Ave., Tucson, AZ. Graveside Military Services will be Friday June 11, 2010 at 10:00 AM MST at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Ridge Crest Care Facility, 685 W. Roller Coaster Rd., or the ALS Association. Special Thanks to Casa de la Luz and the Staff at Ridge Crest for their care for Tony and the family.
