Donald S. Keaton
Donald S. Keaton, 66, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. Don inspired and influenced everyone around him – his friends, his family, his co-workers, and the children and their families whom he worked with as a family counselor. His life was full of moments of bravery and strength. No one who met him will ever forget him, and everyone who knew him is better because of it. Don was a lifelong Tallahassee resident who graduated from Leon High School. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from Florida State University. He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Rebecca M. Keaton; his daughter and son-in-law, Kymberly Keaton-Emmert and Nathaniel Emmert-Keaton; his brother, Bill Keaton; his sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Ervin Gatlin; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Helen Keaton; his nieces, Margaret Smith and Susan Utley; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. ... more
